Forest Stewardship Council ® (FSC®) is an international non-governmental non-profit organization created in 1993 to promote a worldwide management of plantation forests and protecting the natural environment, it will be useful for people (employees and local populations) and is valid from an economic point of view, in line with the principles of sustainable development.

FSC® has defined the set of principles and criteria of good forest management, based on rigorous social and environmental parameters are valid worldwide. It also has developed a special system of certification of forest management and traceability (Chain of Custody, COC), as well as the label of products.

Sustainability according to FSC® is understood from the point of view of environmental, economic and social, and as a result the stability, present, and future, of the forest ecosystem, the rational use of this resource and respecting the rights of those who live and works closely with the forests.

The end consumer can easily distinguish the products certified with the international label system designed and approved by FSC®.

The FSC® label on products ensures that the content in wood comes from sustainably managed forests according to the FSC® Principles and criteria: a managed ecologically appropriate, socially beneficial and economically viable, and by choosing products with the FSC® consumers contribute directly to promoting responsible forest management worldwide.
